RESEARCH/ANALYST INTERNSHIP
Students sought for volunteer, part-time work with flexible hours. Work is primarily in support of our web site, International Affairs Forum. Duties include:
  • Research and analyze publications, organizations, articles, viewpoints, and working papers from web and information sources for publication (as links) on International Affairs Forum.
  • Work with senior editor in support of article/paper submissions to the web site.
  • Provide input to the organization regarding any aspects of the business (e.g., web site, content).
  • Provide input and perform research for CIR interviews as needed.
  • Interns may also perform editorial functions.
  • Provide editorial comments on submitted papers as requested by the editor-in-chief.
Applicants must:
  • Be currently studying or have a degree in International Relations, Political Science, or Economics.
  • Be comfortable working independently.
  • Have computer, web access and be able to work remotely.
ASSISTANT EDITOR/WRITER INTERNSHIP
Volunteer/part-time applicants sought to support our web site, International Affairs Forum. Duties include:
  • Conduct interviews (persons TBD by CIR editorial staff). Interviewees may include government officials, embassy staff, relevant professionals, academics, etc.
  • Conduct needed research in support of interviews.
  • Seek possible interviews
  • Represent CIR in a professional, un-biased fashion
  • As approved by CIR staff, propose writing assignments. Upon approval, write proposed piece (may be editorial).
  • Provide editorial comments on submitted papers as requested by the editor-in-chief.
  • Provide input to the organization regarding any aspects of the business (e.g., web site, content).
Applicants should:
  • Be currently studying or have a degree in Journalism (preferable), International Affairs, or Economics.
  • Be comfortable working independently.
  • Have computer, web access and be able to work remotely.
